Hello crafters!

Here is our latest blog post.

This card was made by crafters at our regular workshops.  It uses the pretty Nina Frame & Tag Die, Distress Oxides/Chalk Cloud Inks, background stamps and small sentiments from Phill’s Daisy, Blossom or Timeless collection.

Our main sample uses Cracked Pistachio and Broken China Distress Oxides

Stage 1 – cut out all the layers and die cut pieces needed as below:

  • Base Card – 21cm x 14.5cm
    • Layer 1 – 20.5 x 14cm (background stamp)
    • Layer 2 – 18.5 x 10.5cm (inked)
    • Layer 3 – 18 x 10cm (embossed)
  • Sue Wilson Dies
    • Nina Frame and Tag
    • Petite Butterflies
    • Complete Orange Blossom Petals
    • Delicate Daisies

Stage 2 – choose two co-ordinating colours from either the Distress Oxides or Chalk Cloud Inks.  Using a smoothie, colour the plain layer from the Nina die and Layer 2.  You can colour the butterflies at this stage.

TIP – apply the lightest colour first on the Nina layer taking off all the excess colour. T go over the edges with the same colour a little darker and finally add the darker colour over the outer edge to create a nice, faded look.

Stage 3 – choose a rubber background stamp and using both colours work around layer 1 to create a pretty background.

TIP – you will need to ensure the stamping comes in about 2.5cm

Stage 4 – colour your flowers by either using the same background stamp or simply using a smoothie for a full colour.

2

Stage 5 – stamp your chosen sentiment on the topper in either one or two colours.

Stage 6 – shape your flowers, assemble the layers and add glitter if you wish!
