Special Day Verse Card

Hello crafty peeps and welcome to our little crafty corner. Make yourself a cuppa and indulge yourself for a few minutes whilst Angela explains how she made her card using the new Just Saying A6 verses.

Just saying special day verse
Floral finery – practically perfect & fabulous fronds
Fabulous fuschia, totally turquoise & ice white card
Crystal gemporium flat backed gems – aurora
Glitter alchemy – crystal aurora
Premium PVA glue
Precision tweezers & gem pick up tool
Fine spray mister bottle
Acrylic circles stamping blocks (set of 3)

Other Products Used:
8″x8″ card blank
Glue Gel
1mm foam tape
Versafine clair – warm breeze & charming pink
Stamping platform

Instructions:

  • Cut totally turquoise card to slightly smaller than the 8″x8″ card blank and affix using foam tape.
  • Cut fabulous fuchsia card slightly smaller than the totally turquoise card and affix using foam tape.
  • Leaving a larger border, cut ice white card smaller than the fabulous fuchsia card. Place into a stamping platform and line up the special day verse in the centre of the card.
  • Apply warm breeze ink to part of the verse stamp and charming pink to the remainder. Press firmly onto the white card, repeating as necessary.
  • Using warm breeze ink, stamp the border in the top centre of the card, turn 90 degrees and stamp again, repeat twice more.
  • Stamp the trio of hearts using warm breeze ink in each corner using either an acrylic block or stamping platform.
  • Apply glitter to the outside edge of the 8″x8″ card blank and also the white card layer. Set aside to dry.
  • Die cut a selection of leaves from totally turquoise card and shape the leaves by gently bending back the tip of each leaf.
  • Die cut two medium and two small four petal flowers from fabulous fuchsia card. Shape the flower petals by gently rolling the top back around the tweezers. Build flowers and add a gem to the centre of each.
  • Affix white card layer to the card base using foam tape.
  • Arrange and adhere the flowers and foliage using glue gel.
  • Finish by adding three gems to the top left and bottom right of the fabulous fuchsia card.
  • TOP TIP: Lightly mist the back of the flowers with water to make it easier to shape them.
